about damconf

It’s the 5th DAMconf. Five years of setting trends in the regional digital market and serving as a meeting point for prominent regional brands.

This year, along with the standard conference program which consists of talks and panels, we have prepared a second day of exciting workshops. One lead by David Skerrett from Critical Mass and the other by Saša Tenodi from NLP Croatia. Both workshops will be held on November 16, at the City Plaza.

Each November DAMconf is the place where you can find the most relevant players and decision-makers of regional marketing. Marketing managers of major companies and brands, leaders of digital departments in regional advertising agencies, CEOs of prominent regional companies and other regional influencers gather to exchange experiences, learn latest global digital trends and network.

conference room 1: be smart.

8:30 - 9:30
Welcome by Franck

9:30 - 9:40

9:40 - 10:20
UX for future technology

We have come a long way from using just a mouse and a keyboard to communicate with our computers. The mobile phones we all have in our pockets require a far more intimate touch… and we spend our days happily tapping and swiping left, or sometimes right. (smile)
But what comes next? How will we communicate with our devices in the future? Will we talk to them or…wave our hands?

10:20 - 10:50
Launching a digital campaign in 17 CEE markets: Fortnite case study

Everyone already heard about Fortnite. But did you know that there was a big plan behind it to introduce the game to gamers all around the world? We show our perspective as an agency responsible for promoting the game across whole Central Eastern-Europe, including biggest challenges and key takeaways. Hop on the Battle Bus and join us!

10:50 - 11:10
It's OK to be different

The old „one solution fits all“ paradigm is a thing of the past and it’s not coming back. Today, when an average consumer is facing hundreds of messages daily, the most important of all questions is – what does the customer really want and how to present it and deliver it efficiently?

11:40 - 12:10
Change mentality and moving at pace

As an 80-year-old business, RS Components has worked hard to keep up with the pace of change throughout the dot com era, from being the first company in the UK to send a parcel by overnight delivery, to its position today as an FTSE 250 company.

Now, with the data era on our doorstep, RS is being compared to the likes of Amazon due to its large-scale distribution capabilities. But they’ve recognised they need to ramp up if they want to keep up with new distribution demands; especially for a company now predicted to grow at 33% by 2025.

Join Geneva Loader, Head of Digital Planning and Transformation at RS Components, as she shares fascinating insight into the challenges they face, how they’re changing internal perceptions, and their visions for the future.

12:10 - 12:55
How agile drives digital transformation, powered by A1

It’s the digital age. Everything seems to be going digital, including companies. This affects their processes and their products. However, the path of digitization exposes the danger of losing grip off the fundaments of communication strategy, efficiency and effectiveness.

We will explore these questions and many more.

12:55 - 13:10
Customer Experience 24h

Everything has changed. The consumer holds the power, holds the remote. The modern consumers live their lives on their mobile phone.

In order to achieve maximum customer experience, we must know the consumer, work with them, and reach them at any point in the day.

Yes, the digital world is here, but the physical world remains, and we should combine them. How do we establish a conversation with our consumer? Feedback is a gift!

13:10 - 14:10
Lunch
14:10 - 14:40
Engagement is the battlefield: why relationship, not automation, is the future of business

Look on Twitter for 5 seconds and you’ll find an article being shared that says AI, robots and automation spell the end of business as we know it. Most marketers think that this means we need to bolster our digital abilities, yet there is a premium offering and vital skill that will only become more precious in robotic future: relationship.

This talk is a call to arms for marketers and makers to remember what people really want, and indeed, what our species has only ever wanted.

14:40 - 15:30
Media buying: Today and tomorrow

With user’s attention moving to their smartphones, what’s the future of “old” media? What kind of content newspapers, TV and radio need to offer to still keep user’s attention, and with it, advertising budgets? Will everything become digital and how are we going to do media buying in 3, 5, 10 years?

15:30 - 16:10
Elevate your digital experience + marketing with the all new 6 Ps

David’s talk will focus on the trends you need to know about in digital – both customer and technology – across 6 areas that all begin with the letter “P”. He will discuss how brands are creating new comms and experiences through AR & VR, how expectations are being inflated by near immediate delivery, personal experiences, and new algorithms. He is an amateur psychologist so will share practical considerations for you in terms of digital advertising messages and web site experiences.

16:10 - 16:40
Wine & Cheese

by Dukat

16:40 - 17:00
Hook your audience on social networks

Social media is a platform that allows people to exert more liberty with their opinions and comments than they would when the other side knows their identity. It is also a channel that allows you to reach large groups of existing and potential consumers.

Learn about the tools that will let you be in command of your social conversations and guide outcomes to your favour.

17:00 - 17:50
How influencers change the world

What is influencer marketing and which are the biggest names associated with it? What kind of ROI can you expect? Does it benefit sales and customer communication in any way? We will hear what our panellists have to say about their own experiences with this type of marketing and the results they got.

How to really drive client engagement in this omnichannel age

Massive, short campaigns are fashionable but we all need to be thinking long-term where client engagement is concerned. Your strategy and goals need to take into account how we as people have changed over the years, as technology pervades every part of our lives; and this evolution continues, even accelerating. MrConnectivity will take you through all of this in relation to the multitude of channels that make up what we know as omnichannel today. Some channels are better than others at driving engagement though. On the journey you will be reminded of some basic but critical things and never forget there is more to any business than simply customers…

12:10 - 12:30
Get your black belt in business messaging

Your consumers are on Viber, and where are you? Discover various ways in which you can grow your business – either with expressive & emotional messaging; or by building interest-driven communities that spark conversation and impact your bottom line; and how with chat bots and business message you can empower your brand. Discover what future’s got in store for you.

12:30 - 13:10
Messaging as a marketing tool

Mobile messaging is a critical element of any successful mobile app or marketing approach. Which channels are leading this charge though? Does the humble SMS still have claim to a place at the top table? Leaving no stone unturned we will get to the bottom of all this and find out what the best approach really is.

13:10 - 14:10
Lunch
14:10 - 14:50
Where's the trick to keeping quality employees in agencies?

We live in a world of major changes in all segments of life. How do these changes affect the job market and how “far” do the employers go to keep their best employees?

Does table football still work?

14:50 - 15:20
Digital (r)evolution of prize games - the omni-channel approach

Technology changes the way people communicate. While SMS is still widely used, the presence of users on instant messaging platforms is undeniable. To paraphrase a popular cartoon, using an omni-channel strategy for your prize games, you’ll be able to catch them all.

What does it take to create an omni-channel prize game, what are the major challenges and benefits for both end users and clients? Is taking prize games into the tech age worth it? You’ll decide yourself after the talk.

15:20 - 16:10
The Evolution of PR in the digital age

It’s a brave new (digital) world. We know that popular content is changing fast, and so are users’ habits. What we’d like to find out is how PR is coping with these changes, and how it had to transform in order to keep up with the trends.

16:40 - 17:40
Future of Marketing in an AI world

Marketing has always been about selling things, but it used to focus on MANUFACTURING intent – because our methods of detecting intent were fairly poor.

These days – our methods of detecting intent are incredible. With AI and machine learning a computer can recognize songs before you do, knows all your purchase patterns better than you – in fact you could argue that modern AI can DETECT intent before you yourself realize you want something.

AI can act as autocomplete for your thoughts. So what is the role of marketing with modern AI about? How has it changed? And is it good or bad?

The Perfect Pitch

Remember your best pitch ever. Remember how it felt to see your client’s face light up saying “that’s what I want!”

You knew exactly what to say, what to do. You were in the zone.

Now remember one that didn’t go that well. You felt “off”, nothing you said hit the mark. Those days could now be over.

What if I told you that you can learn a specific set of skills that will make all your pitches get exactly the response you want?

After you have successfully adopted this new set of skills, you will have the chance to use them right there in a short 2 minute presentation.

Once you have done that, you’ll have the structure, the triggers and the confidence to make your audience fall in love with you.
